A crisis can strike at any time, but it’s how you deal with it that matters the most.

Preparing ahead of time ensures you can quickly and effectively communicate with stakeholders during a crisis and have a better chance of mitigating risk before too much damage is done.

We believe good crisis and issues management starts with planning. Here are two tips to consider.

  1. Make sure you have a crisis management strategy on hand. By outlining potential scenarios, action plans, and communication channels, alongside a set of responses to potential media queries, you can rest easy knowing you’re prepared to act quickly.
  2. If a crisis emerges, talk to your internal comms team immediately to implement the crisis management strategy. The longer you leave it, the more difficult it may be to rectify. And if you don’t have the internal resource, then give us a shout – we’re happy to help regardless of the time of day or night.
