Every business has a story…
The Shine Collective is an award-winning strategic communication consultancy with a portfolio of clients across New Zealand and Australia.
At the heart of great communications are people – and at The Shine Collective that’s the focus of everything we do. Bringing stories of people and their businesses to life in a creative, vibrant, inspiring or simply less complicated manner.
Working across corporate, iwi trusts, local government, B2B and more, we support our clients with everything from storytelling across multiple platforms, to mitigating and managing potential issues.
Over the course of our partnership, we have come to hugely value the expertise of The Shine Collective team in helping to position Skyline as a world class visitor attraction. They take the time to better understand our brand and any specific project objectives while remaining focused on delivering the results.
The Shine Collective team ensured they understood the needs of our organisation, before implementing a PR strategy that keeps us safe when working with the media – but has achieved our objectives of engaging informed public debate.
I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jacky and the Shine Collective team for the past two years. During this time they’ve provided guidance on a range of communications issues both at a strategic level and operationally – from helping develop communications and stakeholder plans, overseeing the development of the Trust’s new website, providing the copy for our 2016 and 2017 annual reports, to guidance around the 2016 trustee elections and our annual public AGMs. Of course, they also share with the public the great stories of the Trust and its involvement across the Rotorua community.
The awesome Shine Collective team work not for us, but with us, and are very much part of the Rotorua Trust whanau.
The Shine Collective team have provided OCS NZ with communications support since mid-2014. In that time, they have developed and implemented an evolving communications strategy with considerable success, with a particular focus on internal staff engagement and issues management. They have successfully navigated our way through two particularly challenging business and communications issues, without any impact on OCS NZ’s day to day operations or reputation. We consider The Shine Collective to be an important member of our internal team, with Jacky James being one of just a handful of external advisers to myself and the Management Team.
We started working with The Shine Collective in 2017, soon after opening our cafe Scope Rotorua. The Shine Collective has been outstanding in providing us with a personalised plan of action, worked in closely with us to ensure that our vision and our key success points were met, and were instrumental in linking Scope to key industry operators who could partner with Scope and ensure our ongoing success. We cannot sing The Shine Collective’s team’s praises enough and would have no hesitations in recommending them to other businesses.
