Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori is one of our favourite celebrations of the year and we proudly tautoko the message behind this year’s theme – Ake Ake Ake: A Forever Language.
To commemorate this, the Shine team has each shared a kōrero about what te reo Māori means to us, and where we are on our own reo Māori journeys.
We encourage everyone, no matter where you are in your journey, to step out of your comfort zone and try using te reo Māori in new situations, whether that’s adopting te reo Māori greetings, ordering your morning kawhe, or volunteering to lead a karakia at the start and end of a hui.
