We’re only one month into the year, and there are already numerous emerging social media trends.
This Forbes blog piece is an interesting read. They don’t believe 2024 will necessarily see any major revolutionary changes, rather, it’s looking like it might be more of an evolutionary year for most platforms.
From a local perspective, we’re not seeing anything earth-shattering, but we are expecting to see the influence of AI across most platforms increase – and the tolerance for AI-written posts become MUCH less. AI is useful for ideation – but authenticity builds trust. We’re also seeing the rise of social media SEO as a tool for content discovery, as opposed to using hashtags.
