Hamish Utteridge

Senior Communications Consultant

Born in Rotorua, Hamish is now based in Hamilton Kirikiriroa where he studied English and Linguistics at the University of Waikato. He landed his first role as a communications and stakeholder advisor for Fletchers on the Waikato Expressway Hamilton Section.

Hamish spent four years in the local government sector at Hamilton City Council working as a communication and engagement advisor. It was in this role that he fine-tuned his expertise in the transport and infrastructure space working on some of the largest infrastructure projects in Hamilton. This included the rollout of Hamilton’s kerbside waste collection service – the biggest change to a council service the city had seen in 20 years.

Hamish has developed a passion for stakeholder engagement and loves the challenge of telling some of the stories that people don’t always want to hear.

Outside of work, Hamish enjoys spending time with his family. He is also a keen football player and loves to chat about anything sport!
